قَالَ لَقَدْ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعْجَتِكَ إِلَى نِعَجِهِ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنْ الْخُلَطَاءِ لَيَبْغِي بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ ءامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّلِحَتِ وَقَلِيلٌ مَا هُمْ وَظَنَّ دَاودُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّهُ فَاسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّهُ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعًا وَأَنَابَ

أَاتَّخَذْنَهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمْ الْأَبْصَرُ

He said, "I am better than he; You created me from fire, and created him from clay."

He said, “I am better than he; You created me from fire, and created him from clay.”

قَالَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِنْ نَارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِنْ طِينٍ

قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنْكَ وَمِمَّنْ تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

Say, "I do not ask you for any wage, and I am not an imposter.

قُلْ مَا أَسْءلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَمَا أَنَا مِنْ الْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَلَمِينَ
