Nothing can stop it from happening.

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَذِبَةٌ
It will lower some, and raise others.

خَافِضَةٌ رَافِعَةٌ
The earth will be shaken up.

إِذَا رُجَّتْ الْأَرْضُ رَجًّا
The mountains will be wiped out.

وَبُسَّتْ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا
As if they never existed.
As if they never existed.
فَكَانَتْ هَبَاءً مُنْبَثًّا
You will be stratified into three kinds.

وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَجًا ثَلَثَةً
Those who deserved bliss will be in bliss.

فَأَصْحَبُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ مَا أَصْحَبُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ
Those who deserved misery will be in misery.

وَأَصْحَبُ الْمَشْءمَةِ مَا أَصْحَبُ الْمَشْءمَةِ
Then there is the elite of the elite.

وَالسَّبِقُونَ السَّبِقُونَ
They are those who will be closest (to God).

أُوْلَئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ
In the gardens of bliss.

فِي جَنَّتِ النَّعِيمِ
Many from the first generations.*

ثُلَّةٌ مِنْ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Few from the later generations.

وَقَلِيلٌ مِنْ الاءخِرِينَ
On luxurious furnishings.
On luxurious furnishings.
عَلَى سُرُرٍ مَوْضُونَةٍ
Enjoying everything, they will be neighbors.

مُتَّكِءينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَبِلِينَ
Serving them will be immortal servants.

يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَنٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ
With cups, pitchers and pure drinks.
With cups, pitchers and pure drinks.
بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ
They never run out, nor do they get bored.

لَا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ
Fruits of their choice.

وَفَكِهَةٍ مِمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ
Meat of birds that they desire.

وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
Beautiful mates.

وَحُورٌ عِينٌ
Like protected pearls.

كَأَمْثَلِ اللُّؤْلُؤِ الْمَكْنُونِ
Rewards for their works.
Rewards for their works.
جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
They never hear any nonsense therein, nor sinful utterances.

لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا
Only the utterance: "Peace, peace."

وَطَلْحٍ مَنْضُودٍ
Extended shade.

وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ
Abundant water.

وَمَاءٍ مَسْكُوبٍ
Many fruits.

وَفَكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ
Never ending; never forbidden.

لَا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ
Luxurious furnishings.

وَفُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ
We create for them mates.

إِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَهُنَّ إِنشَاءً
Never previously touched.

فَجَعَلْنَهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا
Perfectly matched.

عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا
For those on the right side.

لِأَصْحَبِ الْيَمِينِ

فِي سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ
Even their shade is hot.

وَظِلٍّ مِنْ يَحْمُومٍ
Never cool, never tolerable.

لَا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ
They used to be rich.

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ
They insisted on the great blasphemy.

وَكَانُوا يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى الْحِنثِ الْعَظِيمِ
They said, "After we die and turn to dust and bones, we get resurrected?

وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَمًا أَءنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

أَوْ ءابَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ
Say, "The early generations and the later generations.

قُلْ إِنَّ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالاءخِرِينَ
"Will be summoned to a meeting on a predetermined day.

لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَى مِيقَتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ
"Then you, O disbelieving strayers.

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أيُّهَا الضَّالُّونَ الْمُكَذِّبُونَ
"Will eat from the trees of bitterness.
"Will eat from the trees of bitterness.
لاءكِلُونَ مِنْ شَجَرٍ مِنْ زَقُّومٍ
"Filling your bellies therefrom.
"Filling your bellies therefrom.
فَمَالِءونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ
"Then drinking on top of it hellish drinks.
"Then drinking on top of it hellish drinks.
فَشَرِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ الْحَمِيمِ
"Then adding drinks of sand."

فَشَرِبُونَ شُرْبَ الْهِيمِ
Such is their share on the Day of Judgment.

هَذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ

We have predetermined death for you. Nothing can stop us -

نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمْ الْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ
from substituting new generations in your place, and establishing what you do not know.

عَلَى أَنْ نُبَدِّلَ أَمْثَلَكُمْ وَنُنْشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
You know about the first creation. Do you not remember?

وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَى فَلَوْلَا تَذكَّرُونَ

ءانْتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّرِعُونَ

لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَهُ حُطَمًا فَظَلَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ

بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ

نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَعًا لِلْمُقْوِينَ

فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ

وَإِنَّهُ لَقَسَمٌ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ
This is an honorable Quran.

إِنَّهُ لَقُرْءانٌ كَرِيمٌ

فِي كِتَبٍ مَكْنُونٍ
None can grasp it except the sincere.*

لَا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ
A revelation from the Lord of the universe.

تَنزِيلٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَلَمِينَ

أَفَبِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنْتُمْ مُدْهِنُونَ
Do you make it your business that you disbelieve?

وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ
When the time comes and it (your soul) reaches your throat -

فَلَوْلَا إِذَا بَلَغَتْ الْحُلْقُومَ
you will then look around.

وَأَنْتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنظُرُونَ
We are closer to it than you are, but you do not see.

وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْكُمْ وَلَكِنْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ
If it is true that you do not owe any accounting -

فَلَوْلَا إِنْ كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ
why do you not restore (your soul), if you are truthful?

تَرْجِعُونَهَا إِنْ كُنتُمْ صَدِقِينَ
If he is one of those close to Me -

فَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
then joy, flowers, and gardens of bliss.

فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّت نَعِيمٍ
