وَإِنْ يَرَوْا ءايَةً يُعْرِضُوا وَيَقُولُوا سِحْرٌ مُسْتَمِرٌّ
They disbelieved, followed their opinions, and adhered to their old traditions.

وَكَذَّبُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُسْتَقِرٌّ

وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مِنْ الْأَنْبَاءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ

حِكْمَةٌ بَلِغَةٌ فَمَا تُغْنِ النُّذُرُ
Ignore them; the day will come when the caller will announce a terrible disaster.

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ الدَّاعِ إِلَى شَيْءٍ نُكُرٍ

خُشَّعًا أَبْصَرُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنْ الْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُنتَشِرٌ
As they respond to the caller, the disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult day."

مُهْطِعِينَ إِلَى الدَّاعِ يَقُولُ الْكَفِرُونَ هَذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ

"Did the message come down to him, instead of us? He is a flagrant liar."

أَءلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ
They will find out tomorrow who the flagrant liar is.

سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًا مَنْ الْكَذَّابُ الْأَشِرُ
We are sending the camel as a test for them. Watch them and be patient.

أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أُوْلَئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُمْ بَرَاءَةٌ فِي الزُّبُرِ
Perhaps they think, "We will be the winners."

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُنْتَصِرٌ
All of them will be defeated; they will turn around and flee.

سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ
The Hour is awaiting them, and the Hour is far worse and more painful.

بَلْ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَى وَأَمَرُّ
Certainly, the guilty are astray, and will end up in Hell.

They will be dragged into the hellfire, forcibly. Suffer the agony of retribution.

يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِي النَّارِ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ

Surely, the righteous have deserved gardens and rivers.
